I decided to go bck to blogging because yah i love to write. <3 and i talk alot but nowdays ppl seems busier and there's lesser time to hear me out.

It might not be in the most perfect sentence structure.. But still.. Its me :) in some strange sense I can share my funny little quirks to only people that matter, instead of writing in on fb with some funny random people that i know but dont really know. (yes! That fella who is stalking on fb as i tell my sweet nothings to...hhahaha. Oie dont anyhow guess ah.)

I still like keeping some parts to my closer friends and myself. I dont need amplified eyes looking and judging.

I hate admitting I am tired. But I think I am :( Energy juice please! :p Need to run or something to pump in some adraline.

It has been a longgg while since I blogged.

Work, friends, family, random stuff seem to have overtaken my words and drawing time.

Growing up is not easy. or rather growing in any form is challenging.
For instance, a little teething toddler has to undergo that annoying and constant pain so as to enable the teeth to properly form. Which in the long run, teeth helps to one to eat and get proper nutrition.
But for that poor kid, all she sees at that instant is the pain. She probably wont even know why the heck she needs these thingy which are piercing through her gums.

So maybe the illustration is gross.. but hey it makes sense, right?

Well, hang in there.. (: because before she knows it.. she can eat nuggets, banana pankcakes, potato chips, choc chip cookies (okay so they are junk food, but hey it tastes good).

I will never forget how you teach me and pull me through each single day, Lord.

Went out for a random photo outing with Sarah (:

Inspired by Alexa Chung’s day out at a carnival.

Here’s my interpretation of the outfit:

Shirt, MNG. Shorts, Cotton-On(sale). Shoes, SCHU(bought 3yrs ago sales item). Necklace, Helen(21st gift from candice). Bag, Topshop.

We went out for a random shoot. Thank God, that the weather turned out better in the afternoon. There was a morning flood around our tiny red dot! And there was sunshine in the afternoon, so Sarah could play with her toy camera. Wonder how did the photos turned out.

Here are some of the pictures I took:

Photoshop-ed this. Super cool! Plus the flags were rainbow coloured and not the red/white combination around my place.

we chanced a upon this spiral staircase.

Interesting how the spiral staircase is an old architecture feature of the flats, but the fresh coat of paint gives it a new vibe. Contrasting it with the old peeling, rugged paint of the white.

Silver toes!

Well, I always wanted a pair of heels in full silver.

Since I never seem to see one that “speaks” to me, this is the other alternative, toe nails.

The OPI bottle is super small, sample size. and of course much cheaper.

Flora got 2 nail polish at Far East Plaza, it was on offer buy 2 get 1 free. So I shared the cost with her. So in total for 2 original full OPI bottles + 2 mini OPI = about $28

Quite cheap considering 1 full OPI bottle is about $16 - $20+.

The brush is also smaller than the original ones.

Great for detailing, designing on a base colour, or simply trying out a new colour before getting the full sized ones.

Plus designing does really need much nail polish, so the mini-OPI version will be sufficient.

I hate it when good nail polish colour is gone to waste because it dries up over time. I think you can use a thinner or something to liquify it, but I am plain lazy :X

Also this is my first time using OPI.

Pros

-It’s SUPER SMOOTH and easy to be even out, without a top coat!

- A large variety of rainbow colours. Simply spoilt for choice

- Dries quite fast

Cons

- The price is not too friendly on the pockets. Especially, with other brands like FaceShop offering their nail polish bottles at about $2+ each.

Verdict: Maybe will buy if i really really REALLY like the colour from OPI.

gahhhhH!!

For the past week, my internet/router has been giving problems.
So i have limited access to the internet, or whenever my router feels happy he(let's name it rout-y.lol), he gives me a couple of hours of internet.

hmm a bit challenging to reply emails.
So i am hoping no one notices I am not replying the emails :X hahahha.

Recently, I been a fashion junkie.
lol I dont really dress fashionably or stunningly wowww. But yah it's making me feel inspired to get more stuff.. which is not so good.. lol considering my not so big budget. LOL but that makes me wanna find stuff that are CHEAPPP (okay i admit, i always been a cheapo..love chinatown! hhaha. and multi-wearing, 2-in-1 reversibles screams me).

So yup! I am no where near fashionista-ish. But i will share my inspirations, my intpretation of style and some product reviews. Anyway, not like everyone reads my blog except for some close friends, so i am happy to share stuff with you :)
Well, I am currently on a wardrobe overhaul project!! :)

I came across her blog from her shoe spree shoppie(Vestiges) quite a long while ago (okay i almost bought some of the shoes but stopped myself because it was out of my budget), love the her sense of style. Individualistic, different and unique but chic in some ways. Plus oie! she got the exact haircut i wanted to cut last time, when i was deciding to cut my crop even shorter. Didn't cut it that way because the fringe would keep poking my eye.
Some weird-old-how, i can relate to her sense of style and it is me-ish.
Like "yes i will actually wear that/ or buy that"...

2. Frugal Fashionistas
The name says it all! :)
Celebrity inspired with a shoestring budget.
Love Alexa chung's style!

3. Extrapetite
Great style inspiration for work clothes.
Plus there's some DIY clothes that you can make!
The blogger's concept is finding clothes for petites(6ft under, based on american's standard,so naturally most asians fall under petites, she's 5ft) in America. But I get inspired by how she does her alterations and DIY stuff.
Yes, work clothes can look pretty and unique without bursting the wallets.
However, most of the sales codes and sales are USA-based, so we cant really use it.

I think by afternoon my eye-make up was “dirty-looking”. Gaaah! My other spree/working stash is not here yet :( faster come! Because I am running out of interview clothing and waterproof makeup. Angela introduced me to taiwan’s celebrity, kevin, makeup line. Trying it out as tested by Angela, it’s “sweat-proof”. hahahah. Look at Singapore’s weather.

Besides that working on a new project… thankful to learn more working skills. I hope i remember and apply it.

School is over for me. At least for now :) I cant say I miss projects and the crowded school building. Thank God for the 28 months of Uni life in UB. 2007 Fall (Aug) i entered..

2007 (4 mths ) + 8 (12mths) + 2009 (12mths) + 2010 (4mths) = 28 months

wah i got my degree in 2 years 2 mths!?! Suddenly i realize SIM-UB accelerated our programme darn fast lah. In UB-NY, it takes 4 years to complete my Psy course. hmmmm.. aiming for my masters. While angie is focusing on direct PHD. cool.

Today..

last min had to help teach for hi_kids. I admit i grumbled, but it went well in the end. Thank God!!!

Today..

i realized i am helping out with Josh’s wedding, which is 6 days away. AND… there is a colour scheme.

I happily prepared what to wear and buy about a month ago…

~~Noww, i cannot wear for the wedding.~~ Nevermind LOL! I can wear when I go out then :) hmm I like clothes that look chic(yah yah i know i dont look like a chic person..hahaaa) and versatile. For instance, for the dress (pic above) I can either wear heels or flats for a different look. Bags/accessories will change the look of it too.. You get what i mean right? In a crude way, I am a stingy pot. The “i-got-to-make-my-cents-worth-mentality”. hahhaha.

So today had to go for an unplanned shopping trip with my sis. oh nono, i love unplanned shopping trips, but THIS was with a purpose and a specific colour, so i feel rather restricted. LOL! especially when you see something good but in not the “purpose-ful colour”, so sad k. So yes… whaox! got something which i quite like, and i doubt i have anything like that in my cupboard. It’s an off-white piece, flowy, looks boho-ish..Except, i have no shoes to match..no idea what accessory to wear. LOL! Girls!

Well.. stay tune to next sat to see what i decided to wear. But for sure, i wont be buying more. Perhaps muahhaha i will borrow! *beams*

i am still here! Been busy with chinese new year and school stuff.

Sometimes i feel so no-life due to the pile, but hey really life is more than merely about the pile. Cant take the pile with me anyway. lol. But i am putting in more time and energy into sch work because i dont want to graduate with regrets, knowing that i could have _____ or should have ________. I am determined to get my final 3 A’s! CARAMEL.

FINALLY. We been to Caramel!

Great place to chill out and just relax. Simply watch the world go by.

Ambience is definitely thumbs up.

Cozy up to nice novel, cupcake and a nice sofa :)

Their main courses at first sight, it is not really impressive and does not “WOW” you. However, the smell and taste is yummy-alicious!

I enjoyed my Bacon, Cheese plus Japanese Mayo Sandwich :) Caramel uses the thick toast (wheee i likeee) and evenly toasted. Bacon is crispy!

Jasp had the chicken pasta with Japanese sauce. hhaha the pasta is sweet which jasp at first thought was weird, but it tasted good and LOL the smell is heavenly.

I actually enjoyed smelling the food at Caramel. :X

The desserts look sooo tempting, so yes even though we were filled up with the main course. DESSERT! There is always space for desert.

We had the Black & White brownie with ice-cream(jasp claims what part of the brownie is white? maybe the white sprinkles. lol) and Caramel Cupcake. They aren’t too bad, except there is a salty after-taste. hahha we wonder where do the salty-ness come from. I wanted to try the sea salt cupcake!! perhaps next time.

Caramel. One of the few places which feels like home away from home. An escape from the hustle and bustle of Singapore. If you decide for a style change, try Hairloom it is just only a mere couple of steps away. Hair cut/Makeup.

GOBI

Always thought Gobi was all about desserts! First saw Gobi(central) on “Sweets for my Sweet” during Jamie and Daniel Ong’s episode. Shin brought me to the Suntec outlet, we got the whole place to ourselves even though it was a weekend afternoon. Nice and quiet :)

We had their set lunch, inclusive of soup, drink, salad. I had the sesame fish and shin had the stuffed chicken. The sesame fish was nice and it didnt have a fishy taste to it. I love the potatoes with sauce more though :)

Dessert was wheeee.. really sweet. hahha. So many pretty choices to choose from, we had the Dark Angel and the Super HUGE macaroon. Dark Angel is sticky fudge with dark choc, addictive. The macaroon is huge(look at shin taking a picture with the pretty macaroon). The cream in between has a fragrant-smooth taste which compliments well with the sweet macaroon and sour strawberries. Hhaha shin winced when eating the strawberries.

Gobi is along the league of Bakerzin and Cedele. Nice.

Dont the desserts look mouth-watering?

Tv Mobile is gone.

We are back to the Stone Ages, where we people watch and people sleep on the bus rides. We went back to the year 2000. okay so maybe it isnt the year 2000, i cant remember when Tv Mobile was installed on the SBS buses.

Lol. According to my cousin who lives in the north part of Singapore, it doesnt make such a difference as TIBS runs the north area and Tv Mobile were never heard of on TIBS buses.

So perhaps time is not going backwards, because after the year 2000 mankind have invented the iphone, mp4, mp5, phones that do more than mere phone calls back to your mummy that you are coming home for dinner. Entertainment on the GO. That was TvMobile’s punchline, ehhh is it? No idea but it sounds like it. hahhaa.

Went out with shin today, went to Gobi~ Yummy yummy. LOL my cous, Jami and Candice call me a piggg loh!! GAH!

Pasta (Korean Drama)

wheeee.. counting the days to jan 4/5. This trailer has alex inside andddd there’s food!!

Jasspreeeeett let’s watch it! :) hahha.

This Christmas has been sorta hectic but nevertheless it was fun and a great one. Went Tcc with the family in the car (YAHH i seldom have a ride in cars, what more the family one).. Kids Musical.. Graduation party tml. I do pray everything goes fun and good tomorrow. BUT whatever it is, just to remind myself, it is never about me but yup.. let it go :)

Planning to meet with the folks soon. HOLIDAYSSS DONTTT END :( Sch starts so fast. Hey remember ar, Jan 11 bck to sch. Should come up with a list what i wanna do this holidays, so i dont waste it away by sleeping and being drama-ified. hahahha.

Here are a few ideas in mind:

1. Metro sale for some secret stash! (ssshhhs)

2. Desert place with shingo

3. Fleas/random walking with shingo

4. Spend time with besties, perhaps embark do some project. LIKE! our old old scrapbook at sarah’s house of smth. (These are times i wanna borrow a Polaroid camera. anyone has one?

5. Meet stupid peipei before the end of this yr (hopefully), YOUR HEAPS of presents from birthday onwards is still with me.

6. Watch “Alvin and chipmunks”, “princess and the frog” , “Sherlock Holmes” with sis.

7. Watch “The lovely bones” with bunny.

8. Resume and testimonial writing.. “chase” people for my stuff

9. Trip P! & 1 hour for 1 mission.

10. Get inspired.

Xiao zhu!! :) and yes rainie! It's stupid but really funny. Only if you like xiao zhu's weird moves or else you will find him more annoying then cute. LOL

Wheeee.. Clazziquai's Vol 4.5 -Mucho Beat is out :) Clazziquai usually has a "half album" after each Vol. I call it their experimental cds, as they are remixs with various DJ collaborations. Or even english versions etc. After all Clazzquai was only an experimental project before debut.

Nowaday, Alex seems to be everywhere. Variety show (about him kissing his ex-gf a 100 times during their first snow), Book (hmm nv got to see his bk selling over here), Winter album collaboration, Drama ( Pasta is currently filming), MAC campagin for Aids awarness (pic below)

Yesterday, charis and I were sitting around.. okay lol. She was eating(or slowly eating cux i keep asking her stuff) then we were jabbering away at the study benches. We made a list of things we will do together before we graduate next spring. hahhaha. The list is really cool! some stuff i probably dont even dare to do, but hey what the heck! :) I have this inspiration to do scrapbooking again. Ka chinGG! :X

Gathering ideas for hi_kids graduation this year. Doing the grad preparations, make me think of my own gradudation. Whaox. Chingers is growing UP! :) hmm but peilin is going bck to schooolll.. oie girl faster go back to school, so that you can redeem your back2sch special package.

You know the feeling. The feeling that you want it to end when it first started. But now when you are nearing the end, you dont feel like reaching the end and just have this stand still moment. I mean yes, it is definately not the end but instead it's another fresh start.

Nowadays I am in my own lalalalala world. lol. :)

I have been having sore throat, itchy cough(you wanna cough but cough out also no use, i wish i can get my throat and scratch it!!!), blocked nose.
SOooo on the bus, so paiseh. I got the itchy cough feeling, so i cough. and i COUGH. and i cough till i wanna choke. and it doesnt help that the bus was super packed since it's peak hour. No water, no sweet.. I coughhhhhedd so yes i got off the bus -.-" and luckily i didnt choke myself to death. okay that's an exaggeration. still.. what if i was totally gasping for air, would ppl care? or maybe i look like a H1N1 case and use dettol(spelling?!) on me. lol. i feel bad spreading the "love"(aka virus) around, but well, it will help boost your immune system. so thank me? LOL.

Anyway, trying to limit myself...
1)NO late nights unless it's like super necessary. (weird, cux i am typing this at 12.49am! kk 1am go sleep.tml got meeting! sleep.)
2)BRING umbrella and stop walking in the rain. Because the rain nowadays is "typhoon-ic" and not the "cherry blossom" that drops gently on your skin
3) Dont eat so much MAC, even though i am not collecting the monopoly cards. lol
4) READ MORE non-sch books. Think sch books sometimes "rot" my brain in some sense.

Today Oakley had a day out to school.
He(Oakley sounds like a guy?) crammed through the morning bus traffic with loads of students(esp since ngee ann is bck in full force).
He survived through a not-so-interesting phi class.
He had a good 5hour rest of the reliable wooden benches; however, he sweat lots because his owner decided to sit opposite the air vent.. wonder where did the air come from.
He breezed through econs in the super cold room, he had a comfy 2hr seat on the carpet which was last washed/vaccum since dunno when.
He met a friend home on the way and finally reached home back to his little black cover inside his cosy cupboard.

hahhaa. Alex is so cute in this video lah! I am no fan of techno beats.. so clazziquai's latest album "MUCHO PUNK" has more techno/futuristic beats compared to their previous albums. But i got to say it does grow on me. FluxusEntertainment really does have refreshing MV concepts

Was reading an article with my Star Achiever during coaching yesterday..

It was about how the weekends are days for uni students to "sweep" all the work(jobs) or sch stuff that have accumlated during the week. Therefore, students unlike what the average working adult says, students do work hard, or maybe even harder than a normal working adult will.

hmm i will just say the challenges and worries are really different.

Sounds weird, but i really thank god for little bee, she cheers me up with her make-no-sense but got-sense logic. hahah. Last session. Balloons anyone? :)

LOL! Jasp and i had a really "weird" but really funny(or at least to me it was amusing) conversation.

hahaha. Today I feel happy because:

- i had a great sleep.
- i had a day with my sis
- i bought a rainbow yesterday! (yes, i had to get some thing to motivate me to study. So i got a set of rainbow markers :) It's really pretty k)
- i have 3 new cds to listen to, courtesy of candice
- i had a hair cut. (so maybe it wasnt anything drastic this time..just maintence trim..maybe next trip.. a new look?)
- jack kie is getting married and mauhaha we are invited! my first "my generation" wedding that i am attending
- i got a new and cool looking lip balm from bodyshop. For a HIV cause.
- anddd i am going to see Sarah and Jasp tomorrow!! Miss them :)

hmmm it is only the second.2nd. day of school and i feel overwhelm. gee.
OKAY TIME TO KEEP IN CHECK and not let it get up my brain.

Today, because i was a KPO i went to check out Killiney Post Office Cafe & Bar online(affectionately known as KPO). It's opposite Orchard Central, near Somerset Mrt. I passed by it during the day when i went to work.

I would say the design and looks of the place is really cool. and yes, i am a sucker for nice exterior. :P However, went to check reviews on the pricing and food reviews, it was quite dissapointing. Aiyah.. because it's fairly new.. it's still crowded! and lol. i dont have the chance to go down since school is starting and the kachingg. maybe one day. HAHHA yes jaspreet, i am adding it to our really long list. :x

Anyone who has been there personally pls tell me how was the experience k!

Today.. i learnt alot, even if it seems like an ordinary sunday.

I learnt today why God said we should learn from the little ones.

The days that you dont feel like loving.
They hug and kiss you. and hahahha we did alot of poking of each other today while singing "For all you do..do..doooo.dooo! :)
Today the lesson was about empathy.
I thought how was i to explain empathy, even for an adult it is kind of abstract.

You know what? I was wrong. Totally.They demonstrated empathy today. For i was the reciever. Amen.

This is one of the reasons why i feel i will not leave the kids ministry - these kids are my teachers. They remind me of God's love and the purpose of my life.

I pray that with each year that these little ones grow. I will grow too. grow more in you :)

okay so maybe the names are weird.. but i never knew them as that name, and perhaps maybe never will? I cant imagine calling u anything else :X

LOL then you are going to say that I am pot calling the kettle black right? Because my primary school and secondary school is registered under my chinese name. But i really really never named myself.

Samantha was given by my parents (hahha not by some mr and mrs loong tze chong!!). Primary school i was known as Samantha. Except perhaps in secondary school when the teachers use the register so much that they use my chinese name. Ah ha! but when i was old enough, i added "samantha" in my i/c. LOL So now I have 21 ovals to shade in my OTAS form. hahhaha.. you gain some but you lose some. :P

Okay so maybe you got a really "cool" name..but i dont think it really fits. dunno. just dont feel right.

hmmm perhaps they should make the movie version of "autobiography of a one year old". Talking babies..that would be freaky eh?

Plus I am so glad that UP is getting really good reviews. Cant wait to check it out. Hope it is a film that becomes a classic.

YES!!! Caramel! Plus hairloom, a funky place to cut your crop while indulging in the oh- so-pretty-looking-&- sweet desert. Personally, i think the cool interior deco is really inspiring. I have heard so much about it and saw lots of publicity on the telly for Caramel..plus many magazines use the place for their shoots… but I HAVE NOT BEEN THERE!!! 小鬼 (Xiao Gui) has grown up :) His new mini album has been released. Even though I still think he is a bit raw for a singer, but hey he has lots of fans from 娛樂百分百(entertainment 100%). He has a fun personality, but then again i dont know him in person, still he seems real.

hahha congrats to him. It has been like his dream for a long while, though he did an EP with Rainie and had his own book which he drew. Yah i quite like some of the stuff he draws, is like doddles with words. My fave hobby too. :)
